Here's What Deepika Padukone Has To Say About Padmavati

Sanjay Leela Bhansali released the first poster of Padmavati on the first day of Navratri, yesterday. It showcased Deepika Padukone jewelled up from head to toe as Rani Padmani of Chittorgarh.

The most intriguing part of her look was the unibrow which the actress is sporting for the first time in her career.

Needless to say, fans couldn’t stop raving about Deepika's look. Overwhelmed with the adulation coming her way, the actress took to Twitter and wrote, “Thank You for the love & incredibly overwhelming reactions to the first look of Padmavati! We cant wait to share the magic with all of you!."

The actress’ co-stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor too shared the look with their followers.

This is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s third collaboration with Deepika and Ranveer. The lovebirds created magic in their earlier releases Goliyon Ki Raasleela Raam-Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

From the looks of it, they are set to enthral audiences yet again and this time they have Shahid Kapoor as well.

Meanwhile, Padmavati has been facing one controversy after another ever since it went on floors. The sets were attacked in Jaipur and Kolhapur by Karni Sena activists. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was physically manhandled. While his team tried to protect SLB, a blow landed straight on the cowering, unarmed, filmmaker. A lot of Bollywood celebs condemned the attack and the incident became a major issue at that time. Celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar took to social media to express their anger. Bhansali had even issued an official statement condemning the attack and said it was uncalled for.

Padmavati is set to hit theatres on December 1.
